Wendy’s by Dave Thomas is licensed under CC BY 2.0. The advertisement is located at 910 Columbia street west, V2C 1L2, Kamloops, BC.
I saw this advertisement while I was coming back home from grocery shopping at Superstore and as I frequently go there to eat I had a look towards the fast-food store and that poster caught my eyes. There were two posters for the advertisement and from my point of view it was a great on point advertisement of the menu. There were no any unnecessary or misleading elements, it says the price, name and the duration of time until when it will be available.
The picture of the food is very huge which can be seen from far and has a dark red background which helps to see the written texts more clearly. They also used two different colors for the texts. At a glance, anyone could see the price which is 4$ and compared to other days it is cheaper and because of that offer, the intention of advertiser is to attract more customer in the store.
The target group for this advertisement would be the workers and customers of Superstore, students who does not have enough time to cook and also the people who are walking by the road. Many people goes in the store for the burger but ends up buying other for sides. For me, I also ended up buying a fries and coke with the burger.
Wendy’s is the third largest hamburger fast-food chain with 6,711 locations. The chain is known for it’s square hamburgers, sea salt fries, and the frosty, a form of soft-serve ice cream mixed with starches. Wendy’s plans to open 700 delivery-only kitchens by 2025 to meet the growing demand from people who want their fast food brought to them, per the AP. Wendy’s said the third parties like door dash, uber eats, and grab hub will deliver the food.
In recent taste tests, Wendy’s french fries have done … OK, but not great. Those mediocre rankings may soon change, as the fast-food chain has announced it’s bestowing upon its fries what CNN Business calls “a makeover for the COVID era.” Wendy’s President Kurt Kane revealed to the outlet that the company has spent the last four years doing a deep dive into how to vanquish the “cold, soggy fries” conundrum, experimenting with nearly two dozen different potato cuts and batter-and-fry processes until hitting upon a system that keeps fries warmer and crispier than in the past.
