There are many different forms of advertising within our community, from billboards on the side of the highway to door-to-door flyers, and or newspaper articles. These are all smart marketing techniques to get the name of a business that’s either just starting up, or a company just trying to boost its chances of getting more business. I am doing my advertisement for a company called Pine Valley Tree services. The advertisement is from a save on foods shopping cart which is a shopping cart advertisement, as well as a photo taken of the driveway where they store their company trucks which is a vehicle advertisement. The gentleman who created this company is Larry Kwak. These two advertisements show the city that they specialize in tree services and your landscaping needs, it also displays the phone number and names of the owners which you can reach to ask for a quote on pricing. If you also wish to search up this company’s name on the internet it states on their website that they are not only based in Kamloops, but they will locate in surrounding areas in the lower mainland.

The photo I took which was displayed in the front of a shopping cart, deems the advertisement is targeting homeowners coming into the grocery store to look at it and think to themselves if they either need any sort of tree services done on their property and or people look at it and they remember Pine valley Tree services as the company who has the “big red trucks”. I believe the quality of the advertisement was done by a professional photographer. The most prominent feature would be the “boom truck”, which has a hydraulic crane mounted onto their commercial truck. The colour they use to symbolize their company is this bright red which makes me believe that’s how people will remember them.

The images I have found convey a message through this company which is they are truly experts in tree care services. The elements that I see that help brings some light to a deeper analysis of this advertisement is that they clearly state the services they provide, but after researching their website I see there are even more services stated on there.

I do believe that the images shown have a positive effect on the group they are targeting. The convincing strategies they use in all their types of advertisements is the word “expert” when people see that word they believe they will be getting the best of the best when it comes to their tree services wants and needs. If they receive anything less than that they should be reimbursed since that would be considered false advertising.
In my personal opinion, I wouldn’t have noticed the ad if I was the one driving the shopping cart around, because the ad is at the front of the cart and only on the front side. So I am aware the ad is targeting more so others in the store versus the one who is driving the shopping cart itself.

I found this company had previously done some tree services at my house in the past. After doing some research to find reviews for this company’s work the two that stood out the most to me would be one from a google review stating, “What a great crew, professional and courteous with awesome skills. We had 2 large fir trees (50’+) with long limbs that were in need of care to keep them healthy and safe as they are close to our home and also the street. Many thanks to Larry, Ryan, and their terrific crew. Job very well done by all, we will certainly be recommending Pine Valley”, and secondly, another google review “Amazing services!!! Great team, did everything very quick, professional, and cleaned everything. Price is affordable compared to any other tree services. We will definitely use it again. Thank you so much Pine Valley Tree for making our backyard look beautiful again”. Assuming the rest of their company’s reviews state the same thing I do believe this company portrays efficient and honest work when dealing with their fellow employees and customers but with that being said, one negative review can alter how a company operates, so until that day I believe there are not many issues within this line of business.
