Assignment 1 (Part A)

This advertisement is from a very popular fast-food chain, Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen. Located at 1180 Columbia St W, #D101, Kamloops, BC V2C 6R6. They are known for their spicy fried chicken. This is a direct advertisement created by the Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen franchise in Canada and is only a limited time offer.

This poster was placed on the glass entrance to the restaurant, immediately catching the eye of the consumer entering or a passer-by. The poster is big and uses bold colors and fonts. It clearly attracts attention towards the price first, which is placed in bold white font $6.99. Then after that, you look at what is actually being offered for that great of a price. Which is Rip’n Chicken Big Box. Already starting to crave the chicken as you already know that Popeyes never disappoints and always come through with their advertisements. Under the bold writing, there is a big image of the Big Box of chicken with Regular Cajun Fries. The food is strategically placed at the center of the poster and shows how the lighting above it is casting a shadow underneath the box. Which directs the attention back to the box and the dip placed next to the box. The poster is using bold colors throughout from the text to the box and the background. The Big red background in the poster can catch anyone’s eye and then white bold writing and the bright orange popeyes box are definitely bringing in customers. I know it brought me into the store.

Lastly, I think this is very appealing and strategically marketed to attract customers, the fast-food industry is extremely competitive and businesses like Popeyes would be more in competition and would receive better results based on price, quality and quantity.
